Massoud Mohadjeri while at The Gibson Tarquini Group, was in charge of programming, Design and construction Administration of the project. The Eastern Camden County Regional Board of Education hired the architect to carry out their Five-Year Facility Plan and accomplish educational upgrades to their facility. The District added six general classrooms to the Intermediate School, technology classrooms to include five new science labs, three new prep rooms, a technology lab and a supporting teachers’ work room space. This addition of 29,900 SF joining two wings together also improves circulation.
A 9,800 physical education addition to the Senior High School wing includes a new weight room, trainers’ room, and two new locker rooms adjacent to the athletic fields.
Other core facility upgrades include a cafeteria expansion of 1,500 SF to accommodate a larger student population.
Renovations to the old section of the school included building envelope improvements, exterior door and window replacement, and masonry re-pointing and restoration.
Massoud Mohadjeri assisted the District with a public information campaign to pass a $8.4 million bond referendum and helped to secure the maximum reimbursement for the project.
